I moved here in July 2014 from my hometown, and centre of the known universe, London – and I started this blog as a way to let the folks back home know I was still alive- but mostly because it was more socially acceptable than sitting in a cafe talking to myself.
I’m not one of those people that ever had a yen to travel, so I was as surprised as anyone when I announced that I was moving to the other side of the world to a country I knew only two things about:
1) It was home to a lot of sheep
2) It was home to a boy I’d met a few times, four years ago, but thought I might someday like to marry.
Turns out I was wrong about the sheep.
– so I’m afraid this isn’t really a travel blog – these are just postcards home from someone trying to navigate life’s milestones surrounded by people that can’t pronounce her name, and some of the world’s most beautiful scenery.
Hopefully I’ll stumble on something you’ll find interesting!
